R 16,500.00

A completely modular mid-century modern wall unit with shelves and cabinets. The unit consists of three cabinets, six shelves, and eight thin solid steel brackets. One of the cabinets, has green and black glass shelves.

The Omnia was Hilker's German system in the tradition of the modular string systems pioneered by the Swedish designer, Nils Strinning, in 1949.

Ernst Dieter Hilker was a German designer born in 1942 in Magdeburg, East Germany. He studied at the Halle College of Art and Design, where he trained as an industrial designer. In 1969, he moved to Stuttgart, West Germany, where he worked for several renowned design agencies.

The price of delivery does not include installation. Installation is available at an extra cost.

** Huisraad Modern does not offer shipping for this unit to areas outside of Cape Town, due to the risk of damageClients are welcome to arrange their own shipping.

Condition: Good vintage. The shelves and cabinets have not been stripped and sealed since they are still in good condition, but they do show slight wear. The brackets have been resprayed.

We found the unit sans its original screws and the mini brackets that attached the wood parts to the large brackets. They are not available anymore in Germany, so we manufactured aluminium brackets.

Dimensions: 31 x 269 x 195 cm (h)
