An extraordinary, mid-century desk made from solid partridge wood. It has three drawers on one side and three little shelves on the other. This is a wonderful classic!
Partridge wood usually refers to wood from the Andira Inermis tree that grows right through the Americas, from Brasil up to Mexico. It goes by an array of amusing names, such as the bastard cabbage three, the river almond, the guacamayo, the Jamaica cabbage tree or the worm bark.
Condition: Very good. The old varnish as removed and the wood is treated with a heat and water-resistant polyurethane finish.
