A pair of large lidded jars with square bodies, finished in a high-gloss black glaze. Each has a round, fitted lid that sits over the opening, and the underside of each lid is glazed in cream. The bases are recessed, and the maker is unknown, as no mark is visible. They would suit a floor or a console as decorative pieces, and they work equally well flanking a doorway or a fireplace.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The glaze on the bodies and lids is bright and free of damage, and the glaze on the underside of one base has some small chips.
Dimensions: 25 x 25 x 53 cm (h)
