A vintage modern nest of four tables in oak and teak from the esteemed London company, Nathan. The set was made in the 1960's.
The round coffee table has a glass top and lovely bentwood frame under which three side tables with elliptical tops snugly fit. Each side table has a tile inserted in the top, these are depictions of Venetian canal scenes by 18th century Italian artist, Canaletto. The tiles were added later, they weren't part of the original design. One tile is cracked.
The deserved attention to modernist Scandinavian furniture design, especially Danish modernism, has overshadowed the fact that some British firms and designers, notable Nathan, G-Plan, Ercol, Robin and Lucienne Day, Merrow, Vanson and McIntosh, did some excellent work.
Condition: The wood is restored. Veneer has been patched up in one or two places. The glass top shows wear from 60 years of use, but it can easily be replaced.

Returns. Huisraad Modern has a fourteen-day return policy. A refund will be done by Huisraad Modern within ten working days of the return of the product, on condition that it is in the condition that it left our shop, and that it has been shipped on or before the fourteenth working day after the sale has been concluded.
