This no-frills no-fuss headboard must have been a part of one of the last collections of the Duros furniture company from Cape Town, that was founded in 1904 by the immigrant Latvian cabinet maker, Hyman Ospovat. He merged the first two letters of his name with the word "durable", to come up with the soon to be well-known brand "Duros".
This kind of design is reminiscent of the "International style" in architecture, which has done away with all ornament and uses repetitive modular forms.
Condition: Good vintage - light wear consistent with age. The cabinet tops are sanded and sealed.

Returns. Huisraad Modern has a fourteen-day return policy. A refund will be done by Huisraad Modern within ten working days of the return of the product, on condition that it is in the condition that it left our shop, and that it has been shipped on or before the fourteenth working day after the sale has been concluded.
