A rare, authentic Danish table, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (Model no. fd 18/57), and manufactured by France & Daverkosen circa 1957. The wood is teak and it features specialised brass fittings. The gate leg pivots inward allowing the table top to fold down flat for easy storage while not in use.
This particular table was sold in New York by the retailer John Stuart, from where it traveled to South Africa. It bears the mark of the retailer.
Condition: Very good, with gentle vintage patina.
