A vintage Space Age table lamp from the 1960s or 1970s, made in the style of the Italian eyeball lamps of the period. The chrome-plated spherical shade sits within a thick clear acrylic frame and pivots, so the light can be aimed in different directions. Screw holes in the base also allow the lamp to be mounted on a wall. The lamp carries no maker’s label. The acrylic has light surface scratches, and the cream interior of the shade shows some spotting consistent with its age. The lamp measures 12 x 11 x 21.5 cm (h). The original wiring, switch and plug are in working condition.
