A mid-century kist with a shaped lid, four tapered legs, and a deep interior for storage by British manufacturer Beeanese. The lid is hinged and held open by two brass stays. The body is finished in a veneer with a strong vertical stripe, and the lid has a more horizontal grain.
The interior is generous enough for linen, blankets, or toys, and a removable tray rests along the back. The original fittings are intact, including the angular nickel-plated hasp on the front and a recessed brass pull handle set into each end. The maker's label inside the lid reads BEB.
Condition: Good vintage condition, new satin varnish finish.
