The first (predominantly yellow) is an original Polish film poster designed for the Romanian adventure movie titled Niezawodni przyjaciele (released internationally in 1970 as Silent friends or Babysitters. It was illustrated by the iconic Polish graphic designer and cartoonist Bodhan Butenko. He was famous for his distinct and playful, comic book style and minimalist cartoon characters.
The smaller one (predominantly green) is an iconic 1978 original Polish movie poster for the Soviet comedy drama film Mimino, created by celebrated graphic designer Jerry Flisak. The title translates to Falcon or Sparrowhawk, which serves as the nickname for the main character, a helicopter pilot. The top left vertically displays the stylized title "mimino", while the bottom contains hand-written production details in Polish.
Condition: The posters are in good vintage condition, with tiny tear marks here and there on the edges, and some fold marks that are ironed out. The modern frames that were done by Orms in Cape Town, are are in good condition.
