A pair of antique oak chairs from the South African Railways. They have unique turned legs that were probably the signature of the maker, each chair with a different pattern
These heavy, solid oak chairs were hand made for use in the offices of the South African Railways pre 1950s. They have since become collector's items and can very well be used as dining chairs. They are carved with the letters SAS and SAR under the seats.
Dimensions: 43 x 43 x 89 cm (h) and 45 cm seat height.
Condition: Very good. Restored and re-upholstered.
