A 1930s art deco couch with three seats and elaborate walnut finish arms and outer frame. The legs are curved in true art deco style. The original thick coir, or coconut fibre, stuffing on the seat and back were aired and dusted and remain in place. This is now covered with a 20 mm foam. It is a comfortable and firm sofa, and because of the original inner, very heavy. The new upholstery is a muted sage green vlvet with a slightly ribbed texture. Look at the close-up picture for the best representation.
Condition: The wood and frame are in good original condition - it shows wear, but to sand the veneer would be risky and the condition adds to the authenticity of this rare piece.
