A rare pair of South African mid-century classics. Other than most other South African modernist furniture pieces, this chair design is not a straight copy of a Scandinavian piece. It is a wonderful design in own right, by the Bakker & Steyger company.
The back and back legs are all integrated as part of the base frame.
The chairs have new upholstery. It is covered in a quality charcoal poly weave. The frame is beech wood.
Condition: Very good. New upholstery and the frames have been restored.
Dimensions: 57 x 88 x 70 cm (h) and 39 cm seat height.
