A rare and collectible South African mid-century classic. Other than most other South African modernist furniture pieces, this sofa's design is not a straight copy of a Scandinavian piece. It is a wonderful Japandi design in own right, by the Bakker & Steyger company.
The back and back legs are all integrated as part of the base frame.
The chair has new upholstery. It is covered in a quality charcoal poly weave textile. The frame is beechwood.
Condition: Very good. New upholstery. The frame has been restored.
