Two very old art deco chairs (1940's or earlier) with a round shell motif on a walnut base. Whenever we open chairs up for upholstery and find coir (coconut fibre) inside, we know we're talking early 20th century.
The chairs have been stripped completely and rebuilt, with only the frames and some of the inner upholstery material that was kept. We've used a deep red velvet to recover.
Condition: Complete restoration. Even the veneer has been replaced.
Dimensions: 86 (w) x 80 (d) x 70 cm (h) and 40 cm seat height.
