It is no tall story that the ship depicted on this mid century coffee table has seen the world. Her name is the Joseph Conrad, an iron-hulled sailing ship launched in 1882 in Denmark. She is now a museum ship in Conneticut. This image of her, however, is still bravely cruising the seven seas through choppy waves, with an anonymous ship on the horison, in hot persuit perhaps? We have not encountered a table like this before and do not know where it comes from. But we do know that it stands firmly on four typical retro tapered legs with brass clad feet. It has a wave motif trimming around the sides and it is 510 mm wide, 1 100 mm long and 420 mm high.
