Tall Antique Oak and Glass Apothecary Cabinet, c.1900
Shipping options available only in the Western Cape.
A very tall oak and glass medical display cabinet with three removable glass shelves. The cabinet was made around the turn of the 19th century - judged by the style of the base, the fittings and the waviness of some of the glass panels.
This cabinet was used in a pharmacy in Gauteng for almost 50 years. We do not know anything about its history before that, but the skyscraper feet, typical of the art deco era, closely resemble those of haberdashery cabinets that were manufactured around Johannesburg at the beginning of the 20th century.
It is in very good condition. One corner of the door's glass is chipped as per the pictures.
