These heavy, solid hardwood chairs (African teak or wild oleander)
were made for use in the offices of the South African Railways in the 1950s. They have since become collector's items and can very well be used as dining chairs. They are stamped with the letters SAS and SAR at the back. Look at the shaped seat to accommodate the behind of the sitter.
Condition: Very good and solid.
