The most sought after South African mid-century dining set is this rare kiaat table and chairs designed by the exceptional John Tabraham and manufactured by Kallenbach cabinet makers. The table is narrow and can extend from a six to eight seater with ease.
The wood of this set is in excellent original condition. The suspended bonded leather seats of more than 50 years old were a bit worse for wear, and have been replaced with full grain leather.
Condition: Very good. A leg of one chair was broken and repaired professionally. One of the seats has the leather branding mark.
Table dimensions: 198 x 83.5 x 72.5 cm (h) and 267 cm extended length
Chair dimensions: 50 x 50 x 72 cm (h) and 47 cm seat height.
