Midcentury Teak Sideboard by E Gomme for G Plan, 1960s
An elegant E Gomme for G Plan early 1960s sideboard. It is a part of the G Plan's Tola (African mahogany) range, it has lovely dark lacquered legs with brass feet. The drawer and cupboard handles are also brass.
The original catalogue literature read: "'Long sideboard with folding doors and three good drawers, one fitted for cutlery. Height 30.5", Length 6'3" " The folding doors to the cupboards are quite a neat feature, and is described as follows: "Doors, folding action to open. Fitted with pivot hinges on outer doors and fixed by piano hinges to inner doors. Doors slide on roller guides".
