This is a high end vintage replica of the iconic LC1 sling chair, designed in the 1920's by French architects Le Corbusier, Charlotte Periant and Pierre Jeanerette for a project called the Villa Church project. It was first shown in public in1929 at the Paris Salon d'Automne. The chair was revolutionary due to it's minimalism, the strict reduction to the most basic elements with the rejection for any superfluous elements, while still being comfortable.
This particular chair is estimated to be about 60 years old, with an authentic feel due to the slight wear in the corners of the chrome tube and on the leather. It has a lovely vintage patina.
Condition: Very good for it's vintage.Wear consistent with age.
Dimensions: 60 (w) x 65 (d) x 64 cm (h) and 40 cm seat height.
