A rare collection of antique Woodstock glass pieces, comprising of 7 x champagne glasses, 10 x tumblers,16 tall sherry glasses, 5 short sherry glasses and a pitcher.
Most of the pieces (except the pitcher and two of the tumblers) have fret and zig-zag engraved patterns, the rest have spiral decorations.
The Woodstock Glass factory operated roughly between 1875 and 1886 in Cape Town.
Condition: Very good, with a tiny chips on the edge of two champagne glasses. The glass has flaws like small bubbles and lines here and there and the sizes of the glasses of each set are not identical. Look at the top of the pitcher to appreciate the wonderful irregular shape, a sign of the authenticity.
