A vintage iconic Arabia teapot from Finland with a rattan handle, designed by Ulla Procopé, in 1955. This is the larger version of the pot (GA3) and it has a capacity of 1.6 l.
Like with the famous Ruska series it was the first time the company used a matt glaze for factory produced ware. The unusual technique, with powdered iron applied to the glazing, has a hand-crafted feel about it with the glaze colour and mottled appearance turning out slightly different in every piece. Each piece has a smokey and slightly artisanal feel.
Condition: No chips or cracks.
