Grand Old Morris Chair
An antique Morris chair with a carved wood pillar in each arm and the protruding heads of carriage bolts on the lower beam, that adds to the charm of this piece.
The brand new cushions are covered in a high quality grey weave with turquoise undertones.
The first Morris chairs were produced in the 1860's. They were the world's first recliners, designed by Ephraim Coleman and produced by William Morris and Company. This chair cannot recline.
Condition: Very good. Restored.
Dimensions: 70 x 89 x 100 cm (h). The seat is 40 cm from the floor.
