A lovely 1960's, dressing table by Lola Zinn Furniture. It has a radiant maple finish. The top is covered with glass. It does not bear the maker's mark, but it was part of a bedroom set with the name of this fairly unknown brand in the wardrobes.
Condition:Very good. Sanded and sealed. The mirror has a small crack on the side. Look at the pictures for detail.

Lola Zinn Furniture has a very interesting history that ended in tears for everybody involved. If you are interested, read the whole story on a Wikipedia page that summarises the case that the state brought against Mr. Zinn in the sixties, that ended in him being sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in 1969, after his company literary went up in smoke. According to the evidence in the case, Mr. Zinn borrowed heavily against imaginary assets for many years, and he also defrauded his investors by supplying them with fake invoices from suppliers and imaginary stock inventories. So this set of wardrobes is a part of South Africa’s illustrious crime history.
