The plaque's five-digit telephone number places the cabinet's manufacture sometime between 1900 and 1950, before Cape Town moved to six-digit numbers. It has a wood frame and base set on solid, turned wood legs, with a split glass top forming a display area above the drawer banks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBelow the glass display are, the cabinet holds 20 drawers arranged in five banks of four, each bank cascading from a small drawer at the top to a larger one at the bottom.
