While the rest of Bertoia's wire collection went into production almost immediately, the asymmetric chaise didn't reach the public until 2005, when Knoll worked with the Bertoia family to finally bring it to market.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eThis example has a welded steel wire basket frame, fully concealed beneath a custom-fitted upholstered cover that follows the chaise's continuous, sculptural line and anchors underneath using hidden mono-filament lines and metal hooks.
