A low and wide 1960's daybed with a side cabinet.
Aesthetically, this sofa has so much going for it. It has retro quality that celebrates the sixties with the zig-zag frames and gold edging, it has Danish sophistication, with the lovely tapered legs and the beautiful dimensions of the design, and it has been re-upholstered by the best artisans in the Cape, with a light and fair Hertex weave.
The set was made in South Africa in the sixties under the Alpine brand. Originally, it had very retro vinyl combined with a red floral fabric.
Condition: Very good. Complete new upholstery. The ebonised wood has not been restored but is still in good vintage condition.
