An authentic and iconic American mid-century classic - Kagan's Floating Curved Sofa. It was originally designed in 1952 and has sculptured solid ebonised walnut legs.

Vladimir Kagan, the son of a German immigrant cabinet maker and art collector, was one of America's foremost modernist furniture designers. His work is included in numerous prominent collections, including the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany; The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; Die Neue Sammlung in Munich; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. 

The authenticity of this piece as an original has been confirmed by South Africa's leading appraiser. Details available on request.

Condition: The upholstery is not original and needs to be replaced. Huisraad Modern offers upholstery on request. The ebonized legs are original, but the sofa also came out with natural walnut legs - we can strip and seal these legs in the natural style on request.

Condition: Wear consistent with age.

Returns. Huisraad Modern has a fourteen-day return policy. A refund will be done by Huisraad Modern within ten working days of the return of the product, on condition that it is in the condition that it left our shop, and that it has been shipped on or before the fourteenth working day after the sale has been concluded.
