The German electronics manufacturer, Blaupunkt, spared no resources to produce modernist design statements with their 1960's and 1970's home sound systems. Those were the days when hifi's were still seen as part of the decor instead of the mostly generic futuristic looking consoles of the 1980's onwards.

This one is especially noteworthy for combining form and function in that the one speaker is integrated in the mother unit while the other one is a roaming unit, complete with its own legs.

Condition: The cabinet is in reasonable condition, with wear consistent with age. It was lightly sanded and sealed. The electronics are fully functional, serviced and fixed by a sound professional. Take note that the sound is typical of an early seventies transistor system - clear and organic at medium levels, but also muffled when compared to contemporary systems.

Dimensions: 130 (w) x 38 (d) x 69 cm (h) the loose standing speaker is 52 x 37 x 45,5 cm (h)
